About us: LLC Indiana.org
LLC Indiana.org forms Indiana LLCs for a $199 service fee plus Indiana's state fees, with the first year of Indiana registered agent service included.
What you get
- Preparation and filing of your LLC's formation document (the Articles of Organization or Indiana's equivalent) with the state.
- Delivery of the state-returned formation documents to your online account.
- Your first year of Indiana registered agent service. It renews at $99/year after 12 months.
Fees, line by line
Indiana LLC formation: $199 our fee + $95 Indiana state filing fee = $294 due today. The first year of registered agent service is included; it renews at $99/year after 12 months.
Foreign registration into Indiana (for a company formed in another state): $199 our fee + $105 Indiana state fees = $304. The first year of registered agent service is included.
EIN (federal tax ID) application: $99. The IRS charges no fee for an EIN. Founders with no SSN or ITIN add $99 for international processing.
State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.
What the fee doesn't cover
- The state's filing fee and any mandatory state expedite fee. They are listed separately above, collected with your order and paid to the state.
- The federal EIN (tax ID number). That is a separate service: $99.
- An operating agreement.
- BOI / FinCEN beneficial-ownership reporting.
- Legal or tax advice. We are a filing service, not a law firm.
From order to approved LLC
Standard Indiana processing for a new LLC takes 3–5 business days after we file.
State processing times are set by the state and can change.
Indiana rules to know
Searching for the Indiana annual report? For LLCs there is no annual filing. Indiana's recurring filing is the Business Entity Report, and it is biennial: due once every two years, by the last day of your LLC's anniversary month (IC 23-0.5-2-13). The parity follows your formation year, so an LLC formed in an even year reports in even years and an odd-year LLC reports in odd years. The fee is $32 online through INBiz or $50 on paper. Compliance beyond this report lives in the after-formation guide; formation itself is covered in the LLC guide.

Appointing a registered agent is a required line on the Articles of Organization, and the obligation continues for the life of the LLC: Indiana law requires a registered agent and registered office to be maintained continuously. Since 2018 the governing rules sit in the Uniform Business Organizations Code at Ind. Code ch. 23-0.5-4 (older references to the LLC act for agent matters predate that move). Changes to the agent are filed under Ind. Code § 23-0.5-4-6. The agent is part of the formation process; everything after approval is in the after-formation guide.
Renewals, cancellation and refunds
Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.
You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.
Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
Quick answers
When does the first Business Entity Report fee come due?
In your second calendar year cycle: reports run on the parity of your formation year, due the last day of your anniversary month. An LLC formed in March 2026 files by March 31, 2028, then every two years after.
Is a registered agent included?
Yes. Your first year of Indiana registered agent service is included with the formation. After 12 months it renews automatically at $99/year unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.
Does a PO box or mail-forwarding address ever qualify?
No. The registered office must be a physical Indiana street address where documents can be delivered by hand.
Do I file if nothing changed?
Yes. The report is the state's confirmation that your record is current, and skipping it triggers the dissolution track even when every fact is unchanged.
Can I be my own registered agent in Indiana?
If you are an Indiana resident, 18 or older, with a street address where you are available in business hours, you as an individual can serve as agent for your LLC. What Indiana prohibits is the LLC naming itself as its own agent.
Is this the same thing other states call an annual report?
Functionally yes, on a two-year clock. Indiana consolidated its periodic reporting into the biennial Business Entity Report under the Uniform Business Organizations Code, so an Indiana LLC files half as often as an LLC in an annual-report state.
