Indiana Business Entity Report — Biennial Filing Guide
Every Indiana LLC must file a Business Entity Report to maintain good standing. Unlike most states, Indiana requires this only every two years (biennial), not annually. The fee is $32 online and it's due in your "birth month" — the month your LLC was originally registered. For all compliance requirements, see our after-formation guide. For formation, see how to form an Indiana LLC.

- First report due: March 2027
- Second report due: March 2029
- Third report due: March 2031

FAQ
Ready to get started?
Get StartedWhy is Indiana biennial instead of annual?
Indiana designed its system to reduce the compliance burden on businesses. Filing every 2 years cuts paperwork in half while still keeping business records reasonably current.
When is my first report due?
Two years after formation, in your registration anniversary month. If formed July 2025, first due July 2027.
Can I file early?
Yes, within the filing window. INBiz will show when your report becomes available to file.
What if nothing has changed?
File anyway. The report confirms current information regardless of whether anything changed.
